We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Trade Assistant at our Albany depot, on a permanent full-time basis.

 

About this role

 

As the Trade Assistant you will be required to provide ‘multi-skilled’ non-trade support in a line & cable team environment in the construction and maintenance of the transmission and distribution electricity network in a safe, reliable and affordable manner to maintain the integrity of the network.

 

This is perfect for someone who wants to keep adding to the experience and knowledge they have already gained and join an industry with genuine opportunities for career progression, the right candidate for this role will be interested in developing a career in the Transmission and Distribution Electricity network through an apprenticeship.


About you

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • Valid WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence to business requirements
  • Valid WA ‘’HR’ Licence (minimum) or ‘HC’ Licence (as required)
  • High Risk Crane licence class C2 (as a minimum) or C6 (as required)
  • High Risk Licence class Forklift (as required)
  • Relevant Network Authorisation including Construction industry white card and Basic Emergency Life Support (within the first month of employment)
  • Prior experience in providing non-trade support in an operational team environment
  • Demonstrate Western Power's constructive behaviours and values
