Team Coordinator – Operational North (DIDO) | Permanent Opportunity

This permanent position starts February 2026 and offers an 8:6 Drive In Drive‑Out roster, consistent travel from Balcatta, and meaningful hands on work across regional WA all backed by a stable employer investing heavily in network modernisation and renewable energy.

You’ll join a high performing Operational North team where your HOU/LOU switching authorisations and field expertise are genuinely valued. You will lead your crew, support local depots, and play a critical role in keeping the network safe, reliable, and energised for communities across the Central North.

Travel made easy

Your travel to and from the depots will be provided via an internal Western Power bus service, transporting you in comfort to your work location. You’ll then use designated fleet vehicles to complete your shift before returning to Balcatta by bus at the end of each swing.

What you’ll be doing

  • Leading and coordinating your crew to deliver planned and unplanned work
  • Prioritising daily tasks and ensuring performance targets are met
  • Isolating and switching the network to safely restore supply and minimise customer impact
  • Responding to faults and supporting local depots across the Central North
  • Constructing and maintaining overhead distribution network assets to Western Power standards
  • Preparing work parcels and adapting to changing priorities
  • Participating in an on‑call roster

 

What you bring

  • Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems Distribution (Overhead)
  • HOU/LOU switching authorisations essential
  • Demonstrated experience in overhead distribution construction and maintenance
  • Strong safety mindset and ability to work independently in regional environments
  • at a minimum a WA C‑Class, (MR/HR/HC not essential as training would be provided)
