- Rates starting $56 per hour + allowances+ 13.5% Super

As an Electrical Tradesperson based in our Kewdale Depot, you will be required to undertake, in a team environment, maintenance of our ground mounted distribution assets throughout the South-West Interconnected Network (SWIN) to maintain the integrity of the network in a safe, reliable and affordable manner and in accordance with customer requirements and all applicable guidelines and regulations. This will include the application of multiple post trade skills and competencies.
The role will be permanent fulltime.
Your Role in Action
- Participate in pre-job planning to identify risks, hazards and task variables and control measures to ensure safe, reliable and affordable project completion.
- Work within a team environment completing a wide variety of tasks ranging from high voltage and low voltage distribution assets including Transformers, Ring main units LV frames for the successful delivery of our programs of work with a focus on Safety, high standards of work and time management.
- To investigate, identify and resolve network problems associated with LV and HV supply.
- Inspect & maintain distribution ground mounted equipment.
- Undertake assigned tasks in accordance with Western Power’s processes and regulations.
- Possess an understanding of Western Power’s documentation requirements.
- Apply good customer relations when working, at all times. Especially where there is direct contact with stakeholders and the general public.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Certificate III Electro-Technology.
- WA ‘A’ Grade Electrical Workers License.
- Valid WA ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence to business requirements.
- Relevant Network Authorisation including Construction industry white card and Basic Emergency Life Support (within the first month of apprenticeship).
- PC Literacy.
- Demonstrated industry experience as an Electrical Tradesperson.
