Field Supervisor – Permanent Full-time – Kewdale
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Field Supervisor at our Kewdale depot on a Permanent Full-Time basis.
As a Field Supervisor, you will be responsible for the daily supervision and coordination of operational field crews in conducting planned and unplanned Automation of RMUs/Reclosers/ Load-break switches, and electric shock/power quality investigations and Emergency Response Generators to ensures all assigned field-based work is completed in a safe, reliable, and efficient manner.
Your Role in Action
- Coach safety representatives, prepare and present VMB meetings and practice safe work principles.
- Maintain awareness of staff competencies through network compliance.
- Take accountability for safety in the work environment for yourself and others by ensuring the teams and contractors follow safe work practices and maintain a safe work environment that is monitored through an onsite presence.
- Ensure workers have required competencies to perform the tasks.
- Have an intimate knowledge of how operational field-based work is performed similar to that of field crews, particularly in complex and time sensitive work activities or where operational needs required it.
- Ensure prompt attendance of crew members to faults and isolate the network for repairs to maintain the integrity of the network and minimise customer impact.
- Responsible for hiring, assigning, and monitoring workload; determining work priorities; training; and performance management.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Relevant and current trade-based qualification in a discipline such as - Electrical Licence.
- At least 10 to 12 years demonstrated, extensive and broad technical experience in networks or transmission/distribution industry, including appropriate licenses or certificates of competency.
- Highly developed teamwork and customer focus skills.
- Demonstrated experience in the implementation and execution of operation plans.
- Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’.
