Project Network Officer - Merredin

As a Project Network Officer, you will be required to manage the construction phase of Western Power’s asset driven and customer driven projects. You will maintain knowledge of work standards, procedures, network systems and working towards the continuous improvement and innovation of the team.

Merredin Depot is based in the largest regional centre in the Eastern Wheatbelt of Western Australia, 3 hours from Perth, where you can lose yourself in nature’s wonderland with the bright skies star gazing, heritage trails, wildflowers as well as a thriving city centre.

Your Role in Action  

• You will Provide strategic leadership with an ability to motivate for success.
• Manage your own work in order to respond to customer enquiries professionally and in the quickest possible timeframe.
• Ensure that relevant computer systems are kept up to date and provide project status reports to internal management and external customers as requested.
• Coordinate or perform complex technical work on Western Power networks.
• Use project management systems and tools to manage work.
• Adhere (and ensure adherence) to all safety strategies, programs and practices.
• Ensure work is completed according to engineering standards and regulations.
• Monitor and analyse operational performance data.

 What Makes You a Great Fit

• It is essential that you possess a Cert III – ESI Distribution
• A Grade Electrical Licence is desirable
• Best practice experience in project management (such as negotiation, planning, communication, use of initiative and problem solving) with a minimum of 8 years’ extensive experience
• Strong experience dealing with external customers
• Hold all appropriate industry licences or certificates of competency
• Health & Safety knowledge relevant to the electricity supply and construction sector.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
