Mechanical Tradesperson - Northam

At our Northam depot, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing Western Power's fleet of heavy vehicle road transport and plant machinery. Your role will include:

 

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs on road transport vehicles and plant
  • Ensuring all equipment is kept in peak working condition to support operations.

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Base Trade qualification (AQF3) in either Heavy Duty Mechanics, Auto Electrics, Mechanical Fitter or Welding
  • High Risk licence class Forklift
  • Valid WA ‘HR’ and/or ‘HC’ Driver’s License (as required)
  • Relevant Network Authorisation including Basic Emergency Life Support (must be obtained within the first month of employment)
  • Demonstrated industry experience as a Mechanical Tradesperson
  • Combination of either Hydraulics, Electrics or Welding skills with a demonstrated technical experience/ability to 35 Fleet Competency points above Base Trade level
  • Intermediate Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
