This is a full-time permanent role located at Perth, Head Office.

 

About the Role:

 

This position is responsible for contract management of all services, materials and goods contracts and increasing value, by improving service, quality, compliance and safety outcomes whilst reducing risk and costs across Western Power portfolio of contracts. This includes contract management to maximise the value derived from the contracts and ongoing supplier relationship management, relevant to their portfolio and stakeholders.

 

This is achieved by applying a consistent contract management approach across the business.

 

About you:

 

The successful applicant will be experienced and competent in the following:

 

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in developing and executing contract strategies and plans to generate value
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing and managing supplier relationships to generate value beyond the contract
  • Strong influencing, communication and interpersonal skills
  • An understanding of risk and compliance management and its application with respect to procurement
  • Demonstrated good negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated strong contract management skills
  • Demonstrated customer and results focus
  • Knowledge and experience in Contract Law, Construction Law, Australian Consumer Law and related legislation and regulations
  • Good understanding of Australian Standard suite of contracts (including construction and supply, delivery, and installation of equipment of goods) and general services type agreements.
  • Demonstrated good conceptual and analytical skills
  • Degree qualified in Procurement, Contract, Business, Finance and/ or related discipline and/or extensive suitable demonstrated experience
