This is a full-time permanent position, located in Perth Head Office

 

About the Role:

 

This role is accountable for developing and maintaining Western Power’s Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Management System through effective document governance and control aligned to applicable legislative, regulatory and internal operational business requirements and the HSE policy and framework.

This position is crucial in the provision of sound HSE Management System governance processes to enhance stakeholder understanding and ownership regarding continual improvement of Western Power’s HSE Management system, supporting documentation and the development of HSE processes which are effective and address business risk.

 

About you:

 

The successful applicant will be experienced and competent in the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Safety, Environment or Business Management with continuing professional development, or equivalent experience and knowledge within the energy and utilities industry
  • 5+ years’ demonstrated experience in leading the implementation or embedding of HSE Management Systems such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001 or ISO 45001
  • Sound current knowledge and understanding of state and federal HSE legislation
  • Ability to draft HSE process documentation in clear, unambiguous, non-technical language and style
  • Ability to engage with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders and work collaboratively to reach agreed outcomes
  • Ability and willingness to work flexible hours including evenings as required
