This is a full time, permanent position, located at our Head Office in Perth, CBD.


About the Role:


This position is accountable for:

  • Support Western Power’s Access Arrangement Submission by working in an Agile environment and ensuring robust and defensible strategies and plans;
  • Developing, monitoring and continuously improving management strategies and/or distribution network and associated assets;
  • Assess asset class and specific risks associated with the assets
  • Liaising with key stakeholders to develop a criticality framework;
  • Roll-out the strategies into the organization;
  • Drive implementation of strategies;
  • Support the development of other asset strategies;
  • Undertake all activities in a safe, reliable, efficient and commercially responsible manner; and
  • Adhere to Western Power’s Competency Framework.


About you:


 The successful applicant will be experienced and competent in the following:

  • Degree in a relevant Engineering Discipline and recognised by Engineers Australia as satisfying the academic requirements for appointment as a Professional Engineer;
  • 10+ years extensive and broad experience in the industry;
  • Experience in the field of transmission lines and easements;
  • Eligible for Professional Engineer membership (MIEAust) with Engineers Australia;
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills;
  • Ability to lead projects and achieve results in an uncertain, ever changing environment without defined processes;
  • Have ability to complete complex projects or assignments within specific guidelines;
  • Working knowledge of risk management techniques;
  • Working knowledge of engineering standards, regulations and procedures relating to civil construction;
  • Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’;
  • Ability to work under pressure and independently;
  • Demonstrated experience in stakeholder management;
  • Working knowledge of risk management techniques;
