Category and Contracts Specialist
Are you a skilled contracts professional with a passion for driving value, enhancing quality, and ensuring compliance? Join our Commercial Portfolio team as a Category and Contracts Specialist at Western Power on a full-time basis. This role offers the chance to shape supplier relationships, optimize contract outcomes, and support Western Power's mission through effective contract management.
Your Role in Action
- Manage contracts across services, materials, and goods, ensuring consistent application of the contract management framework.
- Negotiate with suppliers to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
- Enhance supplier performance and support internal teams in extracting maximum value from contracts.
- Oversee data management of contract performance, governance, and compliance with internal and external policies.
- Support the development of supply chain strategies, enterprise risk management, and community-focused programs.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Degree in Procurement, Contract, Business, Finance, or related discipline, or extensive experience in contract management.
- Strong knowledge of contract law, Australian Consumer Law, and standard contract agreements.
- Demonstrated ability in supplier relationship management and contract strategy execution.
- Proficient in negotiation, analytical thinking, and compliance management.
- Working knowledge of Mincom Ellipse and Ariba systems.
