Commercial Assurance Specialist – Fixed Term 6 months – Perth CBD

 

We’re seeking a Commercial Assurance Specialist for a 6‑month maximum term contract to play a key role in delivering our Commercial assurance program. This is a pivotal role where you’ll sit at the centre of Commercial risk, compliance and quality, shaping how the function operates and assuring confidence in our processes and, controls.

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Support the Commercial function by designing and delivering assurance and process compliance activities, including the development and execution of an annual Assurance Program Partner closely with the Commercial leadership team to identify, develop and regularly refresh operational risk profiles and compliance requirements.
  • Be a trusted custodian of all Commercial policies, standards, frameworks and guidelines, ensuring documents are current and well‑governed.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for all assurance activities, including internal audits, while actively influencing and educating stakeholders to drive enterprise‑wide understanding and consistent application of Commercial documentation.
  • Lead the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of Commercial processes and documentation within the corporate process library, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Demonstrated experience designing, embedding and governing fit‑for‑purpose processes that support strong commercial outcomes.
  • Practical background across Supply Chain, Sourcing, Contract Management or Auditing, with an appreciation for how these disciplines connect across the business.
  • Confidence using process mapping and documentation tools (such as Holocentric, Visio or similar) to clearly communicate ways of working.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder‑influencing skills, with the ability to engage and bring others along the journey.
  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement or business optimisation initiatives.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, Procurement or a related discipline.
