Commercial Der Technical Support Officer

Commercial DER Technical Support Officers - Fixed Term - Perth
We currently have multiple fixed-term opportunities for Commercial DER Technical Support Officers based in our Perth office. In this role, you'll be the key link between our customers and technical specialists, helping guide commercial Distributed Energy Resources (DER) projects from application through to completion. You'll deliver a high level of customer support, coordinate technical assessments, and work collaboratively across the business to help customers navigate the connection process and achieve successful project outcomes.
While experience in commercial solar or DER is highly regarded, it isn't essential. We're looking for people who are customer-focused, solutions-oriented and confident managing conversations with a diverse range of stakeholders. If you're a strong problem solver, enjoy building relationships, can translate complex information into practical guidance, and are motivated by delivering positive customer outcomes, we'd love to hear from you.
This is an opportunity to bring your transferable skills and curiosity to a growing and evolving industry. We'll provide the technical knowledge and support needed for you to succeed, while you bring the drive, initiative and commitment to exceptional customer service that aligns with our values.
Your Role in Action
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, guiding projects from initial enquiry through to completion and ensuring they feel informed, supported and confident throughout the process.
- Build strong and trusted relationships with customers, taking the time to understand their goals, manage expectations and provide a high standard of service at every stage of their project.
- Coordinate activities across multiple teams, bringing together the right people and information to keep projects progressing smoothly and achieve timely outcomes.
- Take ownership of customer enquiries, challenges and escalations, proactively investigating issues, identifying solutions and driving matters through to resolution.
- Provide clear and practical guidance on processes, requirements and next steps, translating complex information into easy-to-understand advice for customers and stakeholders.
- Monitor and manage a portfolio of projects, tracking progress, maintaining accurate records, identifying risks or delays, and ensuring key milestones are achieved.
- Work collaboratively with customers and internal stakeholders to balance customer needs, business priorities and operational requirements while maintaining a positive customer experience.
- Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes, enhance service delivery, improve customer experiences and share ideas that drive better outcomes for both customers and the business.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Proven experience managing competing priorities, coordinating activities and maintaining high levels of organisation in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer service and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships and deliver positive outcomes for a diverse range of customers.
- Confidence managing complex enquiries, using sound judgement, critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate challenges and identify practical solutions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly, tailor messages to different audiences and produce professional customer correspondence.
- Strong digital literacy and comfort working across multiple systems, with the ability to quickly learn new tools, processes and technologies.
- A proactive, adaptable and solutions-focused approach, with a commitment to continuous improvement and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
