Your Role in Action
- Sustainable commercial solutions that achieve the best commercial outcome for Western Power.
- Managing complex negotiations and resolve conflicts and disputes through to the agreed business resolution for Western Power.
- Departure management, negotiation, dispute resolution and providing commercial advice including large, high risk potential, complex transactions and commercial arrangements to achieve the best commercial outcome for Western Power
- Contribute to identifying opportunities for cost savings, process efficiencies and business improvements for the Commercial function
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Degree qualified in Law, Procurement, Contract, and/or related discipline and/or suitable demonstrated experience
- Good understanding of Australian Standard suite of contracts (including construction and supply, delivery and installation of equipment of goods) and general services type agreements.
- Knowledge and experience in Contract Law, Construction Law, Australian Consumer Law and related legislation and regulations
- Strong negotiation skills on high value transactions including departure management
- Understanding of risk and compliance management and its application with respect to procurement
- Deep knowledge and experience in developing and executing procurement/supply chain strategies to generate value
- Conceptual and analytical skills with demonstrated commercial and business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Experience in the development and presentation of initiatives and recommendations at an executive and board level
