Your Role in Action  

• Sustainable commercial solutions that achieve the best commercial outcome for Western Power.
• Managing complex negotiations and resolve conflicts and disputes through to the agreed business resolution for Western Power.
• Departure management, negotiation, dispute resolution and providing commercial advice including large, high risk potential, complex transactions and commercial arrangements to achieve the best commercial outcome for Western Power
• Contribute to identifying opportunities for cost savings, process efficiencies and business improvements for the Commercial function

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

• Degree qualified in Law, Procurement, Contract, and/or related discipline and/or suitable demonstrated experience
• Good understanding of Australian Standard suite of contracts (including construction and supply, delivery and installation of equipment of goods) and general services type agreements.
• Knowledge and experience in Contract Law, Construction Law, Australian Consumer Law and related legislation and regulations
• Strong negotiation skills on high value transactions including departure management 
• Understanding of risk and compliance management and its application with respect to procurement
• Deep knowledge and experience in developing and executing procurement/supply chain strategies to generate value
• Conceptual and analytical skills with demonstrated commercial and business acumen and strategic thinking.
• Experience in the development and presentation of initiatives and recommendations at an executive and board level
