We are currently recruiting for three full-time permanent Community Engagement Specialists. These positions will be working in support of State Government priority initiatives. Two roles will be focused on Western Power’s Clean Energy Link program to connect large-scale renewable generation and load into our electricity grid. The other role will be focused on the Housing Growth Program.
Your Role in Action
- Design and implement best practice community and stakeholder engagement for Western Power’s projects in line with IAP2 principles.
- Produce consultations and collateral that enable the community to provide meaningful feedback.
- Manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Organise and attend community engagement events, forums and information sessions, sometimes outside of regular office hours.
- Act as an internal advocate on the community’s views to influence decision-making.
- Work with digital systems that support engagement, including Social Pinpoint and Consultation Manager.
- Analyse and report on data, metrics and qualitative feedback to inform stakeholders and guide decision-making.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline preferred, or extensive demonstrated experience of at least 6 to 8 years in community engagement.
- Extensive experience in community engagement, stakeholder management or a related field.
- Experience in large scale, complex infrastructure projects with metro and regional delivery components is desirable for the Clean Energy Link roles.
- Experience in developing communication tools for both traditional and digital platforms.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills to effectively manage all levels of internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritise work and critically assess own performance.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision to meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- IAP2 qualifications will be highly regarded.
