Your next opportunity as a Compliance Officer is at our Perth Office is on a Permanent Full Time basis.

 

About you

  • 4 to 5 years’ experience in a regulatory or compliance position and/or extensive knowledge and experience in a regulation, compliance and/or risk role.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business Management or related discipline 
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, building rapport and gaining consensus.
  • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of software.
  • Sound task-orientation, proactive, and ability to work across different teams.

 

About the role

  • Deliver key regulatory compliance activities and reporting by liaising with internal stakeholders to achieve timely and quality outcomes
  • Management and coordination of Technical Rules matters including the exemption register and preparation of standard letters to customers.
  • Facilitate regulatory audits and reviews conducted by external auditors by preparing audit schedules and maintaining documents.
  • Assist the Regulatory Compliance team with the preparation of annual regulatory reports to the regulator including coordination and analysis of data and by managing key stakeholders
  • Conduct internal assurance activities to monitor Western Power’s compliance with its operating licence obligations.
  • Support IGF assurance activities as determined by the Area Manager.
  • Provide website updates to raise awareness of regulatory obligations and other communications to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage and maintain project risks and plans as required to ensure projects are delivered on time to the agreed scope.
  • Assist the Regulatory Compliance team with management reporting as needed.
