Contract Assistant – Permanent – Perth CBD 

 

Play a key role in keeping our network safe, reliable, and future‑ready. 

 

In this position, you’ll support our field operations — including poles and wires maintenance and specialised helicopter-based line work — by delivering high‑quality contract administration services that keep everything running smoothly. 

 

You’ll help ensure our contractors and suppliers (local, interstate, and international) have what they need to perform safely and effectively, while we meet our commercial, operational, and customer‑focused objectives. 

  

Your Role in Action   

  

  • Manage contract management filing systems and be able to manage the contracts document retention system. 

  • Prepare contractual correspondence to contractors and suppliers (local, interstate and overseas) for related projects. 

  • Coordinate and manage the contract and specification database to meet audit requirements. 

  • Prepare contractual correspondence to contractors and suppliers (local, interstate and overseas) for related projects. 

  • Have a working knowledge of the general structure and requirements of the AS4000 series of contract condition. 

  • Scheduling and planning your own daily and weekly allocated work; · Prioritise work to ensure individual and team goals and target are met. 

  • Identifying opportunities for significant and step change improvements in all aspects of the required work. 

  • Manage and maintain all commercial and administrative contract records for related projects within a team. 

 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Completion of year 12 with English & Mathematics. 

  • Experience in the commercial contract management and administration field. 

  • Must have a working knowledge of the general structure and requirements of the AS4000 series of contract conditions. 

  • Financial management systems and contract payments including contract variations. 

  • Contemporary filing systems and document management with emphasis on security and retention of contract documentation. 

  • Maintaining a database and have the skills to produce reports as required. 

  • High level of understanding, experience and accuracy in document preparation. 

  • Excellent stakeholder contact skills.
