Contract Assistant – Permanent – Perth CBD

 

The Contract Assistant will be responsible for facilitating the delivery of effective contract administration services to support the objectives of the business strategy, consistent with accepted commercial standards including timelines, quality, and scope and client satisfaction. Your role will prepare contractual correspondence to contractors and suppliers (local, interstate and overseas).

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Scheduling and planning your own daily and weekly allocated work.
  • Prioritise work to ensure individual and team goals and target are met.
  • Manage contract management filing systems and be able to manage the contracts document retention system.
  • Apply and maintain effective document control processes.
  • Familiarisation with complex drawings of a technical nature.
  • Coordinate and manage the contract and specification database to meet audit requirements.
  • Prepare contractual correspondence to contractors and suppliers (local, interstate and overseas) for related projects.
  • Maintaining and contributing to a safe working environment.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit

 

  • Completion of year 12 with English & Mathematics.
  • Solid experience in the commercial contract management and administration field.
  • Must have a working knowledge of the general structure and requirements of the AS4000 series of contract conditions.
  • Must have strong excel skills – this program of work deals with high volume reporting requirement.
  • Financial management systems and contract payments including contract variations.
  • Contemporary filing systems and document management with emphasis on security and retention of contract documentation.
  • Maintaining a database and have the skills to produce reports as required.
  • High level of understanding, experience and accuracy in document preparation.
  • Excellent stakeholder contact skills.
