Contract Assistant: Permanent Full Time/ Perth Office CBD

 

We are seeking a Contract Assistant to support our Contract Management team within the Underground Power Projects area. With a significant program of underground power projects underway, this role will assist in both the design and construction phases, focusing on the core elements of the associated contracts.

 

As a Contract Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering effective contract administration services aligned with our business strategy. Your efforts will ensure compliance with commercial standards, including timelines, cost, and quality, ultimately contributing to client satisfaction. Your role in Action

 

  • Managing group mailbox to filter, transfer and monitor or respond to incoming customer queries.
  • Prepare all administrative requirements of contract progress meetings from meeting preparation activities to accurate minute recording and distribution;
  • Maintain contract management filing systems and effective document control processes to maintain the contracts document retention system;
  • Material requisitioning to support contract requirements;
  • Assist in the preparation of contractual correspondence to contractors and suppliers for related projects;
  • Administer components of the process in respect of setting up new contracts and when necessary assist in the management of contract payments;
  • Perform general administrative duties as required.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • Completion of year 12 with English & Mathematics
  • At least 4+ years’ experience in the commercial contract management and administration field
  • Meeting administration skills including the preparation and distribution of invitations, agendas and minutes.
  • Preparation of material requisitions and other procurement activities to support the contract management.
  • Shared mailbox co-ordination with stakeholder query responses or redirection to the appropriate party.
  • Pro-active approach to support contract team with administrative activities
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office applications, particularly Word and Excel.
