We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Delivery Specialist at our Perth CBD Office, on a 12-month Maximum Term basis.


About this role

 

In this role, you will form part of the contract management team who are responsible for delivering Western Power’s major capital contracts in accordance with the business’ objectives and Contract Management Framework.

 

This position is accountable for supporting Contract Managers and a Superintendent in the management of high-profile contracts by participating in contract implementation from award to close out. The contract management team ensures all aspects of the contracts are complied with, primarily with respect to time, cost, quality and safety. You will be tasked with preparing an assortment of contractual notices and correspondence to Western Power’s broad range of contractors who are based locally, interstate and overseas.

 

The administrative support of the ongoing contracts includes but is not limited to maintaining contract documentation in the electronic management system (PORTT & EDM), preparing variation orders, extensions of time, additional funds requests, tracking payments, arranging progress meetings and taking minutes, establishing strong relationships with contractors and services provider for fast resolution of any arising matters.


About you 

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • Degree or equivalent in Business, Law or Commerce or relevant and demonstrated extensive industry experience of at least 8 to 10 years
  • Sound knowledge and proven understanding of contract management principles with at least 4 to 5 years contract management experience
  • Ability to show guidance, communication effectively, have good interpersonal skills, complimented by influencing/negotiation skills
  • Ability to implement change and innovation, internally and via contract arrangements
  • Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels within a corporate environment
  • Ability to interpret legislation with regards to contract law
