Contract Manager – Perth CBD - Permanent
Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for commercial excellence? Join Western Power as a Contract Manager, where you’ll lead the performance of high-value, complex contracts that power critical infrastructure across WA.
In this role, you’ll provide expert guidance, manage risk, drive contractor performance, and resolve complex negotiations—all while ensuring alignment with safety, quality, cost, and delivery goals.
Your Role in Action
As a Contract Manager, you will be:
- Accountable for driving the overall performance of assigned complex / high value contracts.
- A subject matter expert, providing strategic contract advice and guidance.
- Ensuring all contracts are managed in line with Western Power’s Contract Management Framework.
- Undertaking the following key activities:

- Develop Contract Management Plans aligned with contractual requirements.
- Build strong, collaborative contractor relationships, focusing on joint problem solving and win-win outcomes.
- Lead negotiations that result in cost mitigation, time savings or contract efficiencies.
- Review contract engagement deliverables including the Scope of Work pricing schedules, SHE risks register, specifications and drawings.
- Ensure timely receipt and approval of contractor plans in line with contract terms.
- Monitor and manage compliance of contractor plans and contract deliverables.
- Verify and certify Contractors claims, including:

What Makes You a Great Fit
- Degree or equivalent in Business, Law or Commerce.
- Broad and extensive knowledge and expertise and proven understanding of contract management.
- At least 10 + years significant contract management experience including high value / highly complex contracts.
- Have strong working knowledge of and the ability to interpret legislation with regards to contract law.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, complimented by influencing/negotiation skills.
- Strong experience in negotiation, conflict resolution and managing public and stakeholder relations.
- The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships at all levels within a corporate environment.
