We’re looking for a Cyber Security Risk Analyst to join our Perth team in a permanent role. You’ll provide expert guidance on managing cyber security risks, working closely with diverse stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate key risk exposures across the organisation. Your insights will help shape a resilient and secure digital environment, making a real impact every day.

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Provide expert technical guidance to proactively manage cyber security risks, collaborating with diverse stakeholders to identify, assess, and mitigate critical exposures across the organisation.
  • Partner with internal teams to develop targeted risk treatment strategies, offering strategic cyber-security advice that empowers the business to operate securely and confidently.
  • Translate complex and evolving threat and vulnerability information into actionable insights, ensuring the cyber-security risk strategy remains robust and effective.
  • Maintain and enhance cyber security standards, guidelines, and processes, including vulnerability management, threat profiling, and risk identification and mitigation.
  • Contribute to the creation of high-impact Executive and Board reports, shaping decisions on cyber-security risk initiatives.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, reports, and submissions that clearly communicate cyber-security risk insights and strategies.
  • Lead the implementation of audit and assurance programs, ensuring alignment with cyber-security objectives and continuous improvement.
  • Facilitate interactive cyber-security risk workshops to drive understanding, collaboration, and proactive risk management.
  • Conduct regular threat briefings for asset custodians, process owners, and control owners, ensuring cyber-security risks are clearly understood and effectively addressed.

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

  • Proven experience in cyber risk management, with a strong understanding of cyber security risk frameworks and best practices.
  • Expertise in applying cyber security risk principles to identify, assess, and mitigate organisational risks effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence, advise, and collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Skilled in facilitating discussions, motivating stakeholders, and driving positive change in behaviour and decision-making.
  • Experience in the drafting of Board and Executive papers relating to Cyber Risk & Assurance activities.
  • Masters level qualifications in cyber security.
  • More than 2 years working in a Cyber Risk Management team of a Critical Infrastructure provider as defined by the SOCI Act
  • More than 2 years working in a Cyber Risk Management team in an Electrical Utility
  • More than 2 years managing and reporting on cyber control uplifts across a large group of stakeholders
  • More than 10 years working in an ICT environment ideally in Developer, System Administrator, and End User Support roles.
