We’re on the lookout for a Strategist with expertise in data governance to play a key role in ensuring our data efforts spark real progress on what matters most for Western Power. Your work will help us uncover how our data initiatives are delivering value, ensuring that every effort counts - and every insight drives transformation.
We’ve launched our new Data & Analytics Strategy, designed to build a more connected, modern, resilient, and efficient Western Power. We're now in the critical phase of prioritising key capabilities, uplifting core platforms, and maturing our data governance practices to bring that strategy to life.
That’s where you come in. You'll take a strategic view of the initiatives already in motion, assess their effectiveness, and help us answer the big questions: Is the strategy effectively delivering on its goals? Are we building the capabilities we need to support long-term success? Is the change we’re driving making the impact we intended?
Your Role in Action
- Strategy Refresh – Lead the continuous refresh of our Data & Analytics strategy and data governance frameworks to keep pace with changing business needs and industry best practice.
- Impact Measurement - Develop and monitor metrics to assess the effectiveness of Data & Analytics capability initiatives, ensuring they deliver the business impacts intended.
- Future Capability Planning - Establish mechanisms and cadence to understand emerging data capability needs across the organisation and translate these into strategic priorities.
- Compliance & Adoption Metrics - Create and track metrics to assess business compliance with governance guidelines and drive continuous improvement.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Experience in strategy refresh and driving data maturity uplift
- Experience in evaluating effectiveness of initiatives and ensure alignment with strategic goals
- Background in IT or Data Governance, with practical experience in applying frameworks and compliance measures
