We have an exciting Maximum Term opportunity for a Digital Communications Specialist to influence how customers experience Western Power online. Working across our digital channels, you’ll ensure our brand and community commitments are consistently reflected, while continuously improving our digital presence to deliver clear, engaging, and customer‑centred outcomes.
Your Role in Action
- Bring Western Power’s brand and community commitments to life by delivering impactful digital and social communications that meet business objectives, timelines, and high design standards.
- Shape and evolve our brand, marketing, and digital strategies—contributing ideas that strengthen how customers experience and connect with us online.
- Play a key role in activating our digital and content strategies, ensuring consistency, clarity, and relevance across all digital touchpoints.
- Champion brand and design excellence by applying best‑practice design governance and collaborating confidently with stakeholders across the business.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to innovate, refine workflows, and enhance digital experiences for customers.
- Act as a trusted digital and design advisor, sharing expertise and providing timely, practical guidance to internal teams and external partners.
- Take a hands‑on approach to content creation, including video editing, photography, and the use of desktop and digital development tools.
- Manage your work and budgets with accountability—delivering planned outcomes, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and representing the brand at key events when needed.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Proven experience creating and delivering engaging digital and social content that supports communication and marketing objectives.
- Confidence using a range of digital and social channels to reach audiences effectively and measure what works.
- Experience managing budgets for digital or communications activities, with a practical and considered approach to investment.
- Strong hands‑on experience with social media platforms, including content sourcing, copywriting, visual storytelling, and analytics.
- Ability to work collaboratively with advertising, media, design, and research partners to deliver quality outcomes.
- A thoughtful, curious approach to digital—using insights, data, and feedback to continuously improve content and platform performance.
