Are you passionate about shaping the future of energy regulation? We’re looking for a dynamic Economic Regulatory Manager to play a key role in ensuring our organisation meets its obligations under the Electricity Access Code. In this full-time, permanent position, you'll lead the delivery and implementation of high-quality regulatory compliance cases – including Access Arrangements and Allowable Revenue – helping us stay at the forefront of regulatory excellence
Your Role in Action
- Lead the development and implementation of regulatory submissions, including Access Arrangements and Allowable Revenue, aligned to strategic objectives.
- Prepare annual price lists, analysing cost structures and market conditions to propose balanced, compliant tariffs.
- Conduct economic analysis to assess regulatory impacts on the business and broader energy market.
- Manage relationships with the Economic Regulation Authority and other key stakeholders, advocating for the organisation’s interests.
- Monitor and report on regulatory metrics, staying ahead of industry trends to anticipate and address emerging risks.
- Support the development of regulatory policies that promote efficient and sustainable electricity markets.
- Contribute to work scopes, business cases, and enterprise-wide planning, budgeting, and reporting processes.
- Identify and manage regulatory risks, supporting enterprise risk strategies to maintain compliance and performance.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory frameworks and principles within the electricity sector, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
- A strong grasp of how business decisions influence regulatory outcomes, especially within dynamic or evolving utility landscapes.
- Proven commercial experience in large corporate settings, with a strategic and analytical approach to regulatory challenges.
- A degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and align teams with strategic goals.
