We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Energy Market Regulation Manager at our Perth CBD office, on a Full-Time Permanent basis.


About this role

 

As the Energy Market Regulation Manager, you will be accountable for managing and leading the Energy Market Regulation Area to;

  • Contribute to shaping the future direction of energy market design & regulation in Western Australia or Nationally, aligned with decarbonisation journey, through internal and external stakeholder engagement, with a focus on driving the right outcomes to deliver Western Power’s strategic objectives and customers’ requirements.
  • Manage the scoping, delivery and implementation of energy regulation reform to Western Power’s “business as usual” functions, drawing on Western Power cross-functional teams as required.
  • Lead and provide expert advice and guidance on all matters relating to the application of energy regulation reform and amended rules, and,


About you

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Engineering or equivalent discipline
  • A seasoned professional with at least 10 to 15 years comprehensive & broad knowledge of regulatory frameworks and energy market constructs.
  • A demonstrated understanding of the regulatory framework in which a utility operates and the link between business decisions and the impact on the regulatory outcomes.
  • Comprehensive experience contributing to the development and delivery of corporate, functional and business strategies.
  • Strong business acumen, comprehensive analytical skills and exposure to risk management and governance processes
  • Confidence and experience engaging, advising, and working with Senior Management, and Executive and Board.
  • Confidence and experience engaging with and advocating to external industry stakeholders, at a Senior Management and above.
  • Advanced leadership, influencing, communication and interpersonal skills.
