Engineering Team Leader

Lead a team of experts at the heart of WA’s transmission network. Manage planned outages, and drive network performance across a complex, evolving power system. Influence critical decisions, manage high-stakes stakeholder relationships and shape how safe, reliable network access is delivered in a rapidly changing energy landscape.

 

Your Role in Action

 

  • Manage and provide technical leadership in the development and training of all team members to ensure the skills are balanced and the team functions effectively
  • Supply recommendations for short-term primary network security, reliability, capacity constraint management (operating the network within limits) as well as contingency plans
  • Create and maintain guidelines, standard operating procedures, and other technical documentation
  • Liaise and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders on engineering matters relating to network access
  • Develop non-thermal limit advice for planned and unplanned transmission network outages
  • Management of complex operational/technical situations, identification of areas of concern and implementation of remedial action to achieve business outcomes.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit

 

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Eligible for Chartered membership Engineers Australia
  • Extensive experience in an electricity utility business or related associated with the provision of effective operational or planning engineering services
  • Demonstrated people management skills with ability to coach, motivate and lead a multi-disciplinary team]
