We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Facilities Specialist at our Perth CBD office, on a 12-month maximum term contract.


About this role

 

The Facilities Specialist is responsible for the property management including maintenance, refurbishment of property owned, occupied and leased by Western Power, including houses, offices, depots and network facilities.

 

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to determine the replacement and refurbishment of assets for our properties
  • Responsible for a specific aspect of the planning and prioritisation of the maintenance, replacement of physical property assets owned, occupied and leased by Western Power, including offices, depots and network facilities
  • Support the effective and efficient delivery and maintenance of a comprehensive property asset management framework
  • Follow processes associated with a specific aspect of the planning and prioritisation of property development, security, maintenance, and replacement activities
  • Support the development of business strategy relating to future property and accommodation requirements
  • Contribute to and support the planning, budgeting and reporting processes
  • Support enterprise risk management
  • Contribute to and support the Safety, Health, Environmental & community programs


About you

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in an asset management, planning or property related discipline or extensive industry demonstrated experience and knowledge
  • At least 5 years sound knowledge and industry experience within a property, security or facilities management environment with an understanding of security and or asset management planning practices, principles and legislative requirements
  • Experience in the planning of facilities management services
  • Demonstrated experience planning or delivering facility solutions that support business strategies
  • Ability to work autonomously, with initiative and independent judgement
  • Demonstrated attention to detail
  • Organisation and time management abilities to manage several priorities
  • Influencing, communication and strong interpersonal and customer focus skills
