Facility Manager – Perth CBD – 18-month Maximum Term
Join us as a Facility Manager on an 18-month maximum term contract, where you will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of facilities services that are challenging, moderately complex, and carry a degree of visibility and reputational impact. In this role, you will oversee the coordination of planned maintenance, respond promptly to reactive maintenance issues, and manage minor capital works, ensuring all activities comply with safety and regulatory standards. Your responsibilities will include supervising subcontractors, managing permits and compliance documentation, conducting regular site inspections, and ensuring that all works are delivered within budget and on schedule. By optimising the life expectancy of facility assets and maintaining high standards of safety and quality, you will contribute to providing safe, compliant, and fit-for-purpose facilities for all stakeholders.
Your Role in Action
- Delivering assigned facilities planned works to the agreed scope, time and cost without compromising safety or quality which include planned maintenance, reactive maintenance, minor capital works and all associated safety and compliance requirements.
- Execute all work according to Western Powers Project Standards, Processes and Governance framework.
- Deliver safe and compliant facilities, which are fit for purpose, in a cost-effective manner while optimising life expectancy of facilities assets.
- Manage all planned works and inspections across the nominated areas to ensure quality and compliant outcomes and fit for purposes facilities in a cost-effective manner.
- Manage all reactive maintenance across the nominated areas in a timely manner to ensure quality and compliant outcomes and fit for purposes facilities in a cost-effective manner.
- Manage all minor capital works project across nominated areas including development of scope of work.
- Manage all subcontractors performing services across the nominated areas to ensure safe delivery of works, compliant and documented outcomes in a cost-effective manner.
- Manage and approve all required permits, safety documentation and compliance documentation in relation to all works performed across the nominated areas.
- Perform all prescribed inspections and action all findings.
- Perform all actions required to ensure all nominated properties are compliant including updating and implementation of manifests, evac diagrams, risk registers, site labelling, drawings, and other mandatory documentations.
- Undertake all required asset inspections and database updates to a high level of detail.
- Provide communications and customer service to all stakeholders.
- Delivery of continuous improvements to ensure asset management compliancy and alignment with ISO 55001 and minimising the total cost of the Property & Fleet Portfolio.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Minimum 5 years’ experience within a property or facilities management environment with a detailed understanding of asset management planning practices, maintenance principles, legislative requirements and safety management.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, with initiative and independent judgement.
- Exceptional organisation and time management abilities to manage several priorities.
- Sound financial and budgeting experience with the ability to plan, estimate and budget projects of moderate complexity.
- At least 4+ years demonstrated experience managing and delivering projects, preferably facilities / construction, utilising industry standard project methodology such as PMBOK or Prince2.
- Valid WA Driver’s License Class ‘C’ or ‘C-A’.
- Experience with MS Office
