Western Power is seeking a Finance & Commercial Consultant to join our Power Training Services (PTS) team in a new permanent opportunity based in Jandakot. You’ll ensure financial integrity, commercial effectiveness, and procurement compliance across our training operations, supporting both internal teams and external partners.

Your Role in Action
You’ll keep our finance & commercial requirements running like clockwork, ensuring every dollar, purchase, and agreement supports the smooth, safe, and effective delivery of our training programs.
- Oversee invoicing for training services, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies.
- Support month-end financial processes, including reporting, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Prepare insightful financial and operational reports to guide PTS management decisions.
- Maintain course costing models and provide accurate pricing to support internal teams.
- Raise and manage purchase orders and contract service orders, ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
- Manage the external training provider panel, monitoring performance, compliance, and supplier relationships.
- Coordinate and execute panel refresh cycles, including planning, stakeholder engagement, and supporting procurement and contract renewal activities.
- Track contract spend and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities for efficiency.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Proven experience in finance administration, invoicing, and month-end reporting (ideally in training, education, or operational settings).
- Skilled in managing commercial supplier panels, ensuring contract compliance, performance, and smooth panel updates.
- Sharp attention to detail, strong analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to solving challenges.
- Confident communicator with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
- Tertiary qualification in finance, business, commerce, or related field — or equivalent practical experience.
Nice to Have, But We Can Train You! (It’s Our Thing!)
- Familiarity with RTO operations, VET sector, and training compliance.
