We’re seeking a skilled Functional Support Consultant to join Western Power on a fixed‑term basis, supporting the ongoing success of our enterprise systems. In this role, you’ll configure, enhance and maintain critical IT platforms within your process domain, while acting as a trusted advisor to the business, helping users optimise system use, troubleshoot issues and translate business needs into effective technical solutions.

Your Role in Action

  • Enhance the support capabilities of the team by filling the position of primary Lumada/FSM support consultant covering technical assistance, enhancements, testing and user training.
  • Build a deep, end‑to‑end understanding of Western Power’s other enterprise systems within your domain, and how they enable critical business processes and outcomes.
  • Take ownership of functional incidents and problems—investigating root causes, designing practical solutions, and communicating clearly and proactively with stakeholders in line with service expectations.
  • Maintain high‑quality system and process documentation to support strong governance, knowledge sharing and audit readiness.
  • Configure and adapt enterprise IT systems to align with evolving business processes and strategic objectives, supporting change delivery and system testing.
  • Provide timely, cost‑effective advice and support to users, helping resolve technical and business process issues while maximising system capability and value.
  • Perform regular housekeeping and scheduled maintenance activities to ensure the continued stability, performance and health of enterprise systems.
  • Apply governance frameworks and manage system security to safeguard enterprise platforms and ensure alignment with business and compliance requirements.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Demonstrated end‑to‑end functional experience with Hitachi FSM, Lumada Cloud and Hitachi Ellipse systems crucial to the role.
  • Experience supporting enterprise systems, including an understanding of business processes, user needs, configuration, security, integrations, customisation and reporting.
  • Proven ability to investigate, analyse and resolve functional incidents and issues, applying logical root cause analysis and designing practical, fit‑for‑purpose solutions.
  • Experience translating business requirements into meaningful system enhancements, with the judgement to recommend solutions that deliver strong and sustainable business outcomes.
  • Hands‑on experience supporting or participating in the testing of enterprise systems to ensure solutions meet agreed business needs and quality standards.
  • A collaborative and consultative approach, with the ability to provide clear advice, guidance and basic coaching or training to users on enterprise systems and the processes they support.
