Health & Wellbeing Manager

Location:

Perth Office - CBD, WA, Australia

24 Oct 2025

Join us in shaping the future of workplace wellbeing at Western Power.

We’re seeking a dynamic Health & Wellbeing Manager (12-month max term) to lead the next evolution of our health and wellbeing strategy. Building on a solid foundation, this role will drive the design and delivery of enterprise-wide programs that promote psychological and physical wellbeing, manage psychosocial risks, and embed a culture of proactive health at every level of the organisation.

This is a strategic leadership role, focused on long-term impact—not just operational oversight. While injury management and workers’ compensation remain important, they represent only a small component of your remit. Your core focus will be on leading a high-performing team of health professionals, advising senior leaders, and advancing Western Power’s approach to health and wellbeing beyond compliance-towards innovation, integration, and measurable culture change.

If you're passionate about creating healthier workplaces and ready to influence at a senior level, we’d love to hear from you.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline (e.g. Allied Health, Occupational Health, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, Rehabilitation Counselling or WHS)
  • Extensive experience in WHS and occupational health management within complex, multi-disciplinary industrial settings (e.g. utilities, infrastructure, oil and gas)
  • Expert knowledge of Australian Workers’ Compensation and Injury Management legislation, with demonstrated application in injury management casework and framework development.
  • Proven track record of implementing and managing injury prevention and injury management frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of both physical and psychological health risk management, including legislative compliance with WHS Act and Codes of Practice
  • Demonstrated strategic planning capability in health management and WHS program design, including involvement in safety maturity and cultural programs
  • Highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, with experience presenting to and influencing Senior Leadership, external regulators and unions.
  • High-level written and verbal communication skills, demonstrated by experience.
  • Proven success in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing team performance, including development and coaching responsibilities.

By joining Western Power, you will contribute to powering a cleaner energy future. We are dedicated to fostering career development and promoting a healthy work-life balance, empowering you to drive innovation as we develop a network that will serve the Western Australian community for generations. You will also benefit from a range of perks and opportunities, including:

  • Over 50% of our employment opportunities are driven by career progression.
  • Flexible work arrangements to support working hours and working from home arrangements.
  • Access to salary packaging, social club activities, and discounted health insurance and gym membership.
  • An award-winning employee recognition and benefits programme.
  • An innovative team culture that’s enabling the transition to renewable energy and decarbonisation.
  • In addition to standard leave, enjoy three wellness leave days each year.
