Join Western Power as a Human Resources Business Partner, where you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting business leaders and driving people strategies across the organisation. In this role, you’ll provide expert guidance on function initiatives, capability development, employee relations, and cyclical processes, helping to shape a high-performing and respectful workplace culture. Your Role in Action  

 

  • Partner with leaders to deliver workforce management, succession planning, and capability development initiatives.
  • Provide guidance and support on business unit restructures and implementation of key HR programs and processes.
  • Manage employee relations matters, including performance issues, complaints, and investigations, ensuring compliance with relevant frameworks and in connection with our Case Management team.
  • Analyse workforce trends and metrics to develop practical solutions, programs, and policies.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for business leaders within your portfolio, identifying gaps and implementing improvements.
  • Support HR-related projects and initiatives across the business, fostering strong collaborative relationships.
  • Manage a dynamic workload with effective prioritisation, risk assessment, and problem-solving skills.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, Industrial Relations, or a related discipline.
  • Strong generalist HR experience, including employee relations and HR program implementation.
  • Experience in operational or professional workforce settings, with exposure to industrial tribunals or commissions highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide practical HR advice and solutions across complex organisational environments.
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and business acumen to manage complex projects and influence outcomes.
  • Experience in process improvement with a strategic mind, identifying opportunities for improvement and driving initiatives that enhance efficiency, impact, and employee experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships and drive behavioural change.
  • Advanced prioritisation, attention to detail, and risk assessment capabilities.
