Inventory & Logistics Cost & Compliance Specialist

 

We have an exciting opportunity as an Inventory & Logistics Cost & Compliance Specialist on a 12 Month Max Term Contract at our Jandakot Hope Road Depot.

 

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all budgeting and financial transactions for the area, managing contract expenditure for our main 3PL provider, accountable for annual financial audit (internal / external), provide financial modelling for projects, and ensuring compliance with financial and inventory guidelines.

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Accountable for compliance across all logistics activities and contracts.
  • Effective management of the materials budget to minimise the impact of Logistics cost allocated to the area.
  • Provide expert advice and analysis to contribute to the Materials budgetary process.
  • Inventory reporting including overseeing physical Inventory accuracy including cycle counting and audit.
  • Identify process improvement opportunities across the Logistics Supply Chain and implement changes where required.
  • Responsible for managing end of year financial audit and supporting any internal audits.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Tertiary qualifications in Procurement & Supply Chain/Logistics Management or solid exposure to APICS or similar inventory management disciplines with extensive demonstrated experience in a logistical / compliance role
  • Good knowledge of financial statements, budgets and accounting practises
  • Strong financial analysis background
  • Effective stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of inventory processes
  • Experience working as an accountant or in a similar financial role
