Mulesoft Technical Lead

 

Step into a pivotal role as a Technical Lead, governing the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade solutions powered by the MuleSoft platform. You'll guide and mentor development teams, ensuring high-quality delivery aligned with agile frameworks and ICT standards. Leveraging your deep expertise in MuleSoft, application architecture, and infrastructure, you'll shape innovative solutions that drive business transformation.

 

This opportunity is on a permanent full-time basis.

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Champion and evangelise development best practices like TDD, automation, continuous integration, continuous deployment, DevOps and agile delivery framework, aligning these to Western Power’s ICT strategy.
  • Mentor application developers and information specialists to build and test application code in accordance with Western Power’s methodologies, architectural standards and industry best practices.
  • Monitor and optimise MuleSoft performance, and proactively address issues to ensure high availability and reliability.
  • Lead, manage and deliver solutions for business driven initiatives by working with internal staff and (or) external service providers
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on MuleSoft best practices
  • Spearhead continuous improvement and review of Western Power’s processes, standards and tools to achieve well – engineered results and contribute to a positive environment that encourages individual development and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of projects against business requirements and quality of deliverables, drive remedial actions and escalate issues where necessary.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across Western Power and external ICT service providers to manage application development within the parameters of the business need and availability of budget and skills.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • A sound career in ICT with direct experience in application development and as a technical lead
  • Experience of working with MuleSoft components, workflow, and patterns, and how to configure them.
  • Experience in performing multiple roles in Agile SCRUM projects. Managing and working with external ICT service providers in the design and delivery of complex ICT solutions
  • Strong knowledge of ICT development and project delivery methodologies
  • Practical experience in leading small project teams to deliver outcomes.
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills in areas such as teamwork, facilitation and negotiation.
  • Demonstrated Proficiency in:
    • B2B, and SOA framework
    • Web Service standards and requirements
    • Security standards, such as WS Security, Digital Certificates, SSL etc.
    • Deployment architecture
    • Secure Software Development Lifecycle
