Network Dispatch Officer - 12 Month Maximum Term Opportunity - Perth Office

 

Are you ready to take on the challenge of coordinating resources in a fast-paced environment and make a real impact on fault response efficiency?

 

As a Network Dispatch Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring prompt and effective fault responses. In this position, you will be responsible for dispatching qualified personnel, work crews, vehicles, and equipment to designated locations for both emergency and non-emergency jobs within the SWIN, all while managing conflicting priorities with precision.

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Liaise with field staff, controllers, stakeholders customers to receive work details and assess work requirements.
  • Effective communication and prioritisation with Emergency Services and Controllers
  • Provide effective feedback to both internal and external customers to advise on work progress.
  • Plan and co-ordinate the execution of incidents, balancing available resources with customer priorities. 
  • Provide administrative and co-ordination support
  • Monitor TCS fault screens, providing relevant information to the Controllers and Team Leader. Dispatch and close off fault jobs.
  • Assist in the response to system or unplanned emergencies.
  • Provide field-based systems support and coaching in works management systems and tools e.g. PoA TCS, Metering Business System (MBS), NETCIS, DQM, DM, Ellipse, SPIDAWeb, Geoview, MS Office etc.
  • Perform document and file management for section. Maintain real time log of available resources
  • Understand regulatory requirements and reporting relevant to operating and maintaining a network
  • Owing the incident through to resolution, end-to-end, referral to other sections e.g.: Metering, Underground, PQI.

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Completion of Year 12 with English and Mathematics or equivalent demonstrated work experience
  • Minimum 5 + years demonstrated specialised experience in an administrative/support or operational position
  • Experience and proficiency in computerized office systems
  • Experience in cost management, analysis, estimating coordination, reporting and process improvement
  • Must have demonstrated communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise work and resource allocations
