Your Role in Action  

 

  • Accountable for identifying, developing, leading and executing all operational improvement programs, project and initiatives that deliver measurable direct impact to operational costs, while developing, managing and improving business wide end to end processes for operate, maintain, replace and extend
  • Identify projects / initiatives to achieve improvement outcomes with measurable impact to operational costs, including development of business case, briefing papers, budgets, project plans and manage the required approvals process
  • Maintain a standard set of practices, processes and templates for managing programmes and projects consistently and efficiently to reduce project related risks and costs
  • Track and report program and project performance including managing the change control process
  • Ensure value for money is achieved for Western Power by ensuring externally provided services are delivered in a manner conducive to achieving the most cost effective and innovative solutions in a safe working environment
  • Operational management of all required internal resources allocated to Asset Operations improvement initiatives and Program / Project to ensure that required outcomes are effectively delivered
  • Develop effective working relationships with all required stakeholders across the business to ensure alignment and consistency of workflow, management practices and processes.
  • Provide input into the development of the Network Maintenance Planning & Delivery business plan and ensure that you deliver key actions assigned to you. Sponsor and communicate the plan in your area.
  • Manage talent through effective execution of employee performance outcomes through established system and processes and the ongoing development of employees

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Commerce, Business, Engineering or related discipline
  • Extensive expertise and or deep knowledge within a portfolio/ project management environment or related discipline requiring an advanced understanding of project management methodologies, practices and principles
  • Demonstrated ability to manage program and projects and life-cycle process management
  • Strong experience of planning, organising and integrating recourses, budgetary and work program planning, resource management, communication and quality assurance
  • Strong organisation and time management abilities to manage competing priorities
  • Strong leadership, influencing, communication and interpersonal skills to relate to all levels within Western Power (Executive to frontline)
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong commercial and business acumen
