Performance Analyst

We have a new opportunity for a Performance Analyst in our Finance Team due to an internal move. In this exciting role, you’ll go beyond reporting the numbers and uncover trends, highlight insights, and help guide the next steps for Western Power. From identifying opportunities to spotting potential risks, you’ll use data and analytics to help the team understand not just what’s happening, but what could happen next.
Your Role in Action
- Identify emerging trends early, conducting deep-dive analysis to uncover underlying patterns, highlight potential risks, and pinpoint opportunities across the value chain.
- Foster collaborative partnerships across teams, building financial understanding and enabling more adaptive, insight-led decision-making.
- Enhance performance outcomes by delivering focused, high-impact analysis that evaluates progress, measures effectiveness, and highlights areas for improvement.
- Continuously improve tools and processes, enhancing existing reporting frameworks to provide meaningful foresight and align insights with long-term business goals.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Experience in predictive analysis & performance reporting with a focus on anticipating business outcomes to drive decision-making
- Strong excel capability – skilled in complex formulas & advanced functions, working with large datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities.
- Curious and eager to learn, with a genuine interest in exploring what the data reveals and contributing ideas on what actions could follow.
- Solid business intelligence skills, comfortable working within data systems and tools, and able to communicate insights clearly to different parts of the business.
- Collaborative and relationship-focused, with experience building trust across teams and helping others understand the story behind the numbers.
