Principal Organisational Design Specialist

We are seeking a Principal Organisational Design Specialist for a new permanent opportunity to play a pivotal role in embedding effective organisational design across Western Power. Working closely with HR Business Partners senior leaders, you will lead operating model change, facilitate key design reviews and provide expert, evidence-based advice to support productivity and work design. You will also develop frameworks and tools to support leaders and HR business partners.
Your Role in Action
- Provide trusted advice and thought leadership on operating model and organisational design that enables strategy, performance and clarity.
- Design and embed practical frameworks, tools and resources that lift organisational design maturity and cultural alignment.
- Build organisational design capability across HRBPs, leaders and teams through coaching, guidance and knowledge transfer.
- Lead evidence-based diagnostics and assessments, translating insight into targeted, high-impact design interventions.
- Facilitate engaging workshops, coaching and culture-shaping sessions to review, embed and sustain organisational design improvements.
- Partner with senior leaders to co-create and deliver organisational design solutions that support transformation and future ways of working.
- Evaluate the impact of design and change initiatives, using data and feedback to ensure benefits are realised and sustained.
- Strengthen governance and manage risk, ensuring design integrity, role clarity and alignment to principles - while staying ahead of emerging best practice.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Extensive experience leading organisational design work within large or complex organisations.
- Strong knowledge of contemporary organisational and work design concepts and approaches
- Proven success reviewing, reshaping and embedding operating models, organisational structures and role design to support strategic change.
- Developing frameworks and coaching others in their use to build capability
- Strong facilitation and consulting capability, with experience leading organisational design reviews, workshops and stakeholder engagements.
- Ability to turn data and insight into action, translating evidence into practical strategies that shift behaviours and strengthen performance and inform strategy.
- Credible and inclusive communicator, able to engage and influence at all levels - from Executives and senior leaders to frontline teams - building trust and strong partnerships along the way.
