We’re driving some of the most significant decarbonisation projects in the state - and we’re looking for a Product Lead to help design, deliver, and evolve the digital systems that make it all possible.
In this pivotal role, you’ll guide the direction and delivery of key solutions that support a large-scale, complex program of work. Working across business and technical teams, you’ll translate needs into a clear product vision, shape the roadmap, and ensure delivery aligns with strategic objectives. You’ll be the connector between strategy, technology, and execution - influencing outcomes and driving value across the organisation.
Your Role in Action
- Define the product vision for the team - act as the point person for product development, using high-level perspective to define goals and create a clear vision for development projects.
- Manage the product backlog - create and maintain the list of user stories, prioritising them based on the overall strategy and business objectives
- Prioritise needs – manage the scope, budget, and time, weigh priorities according to the needs and objectives of stakeholders.
- Oversee execution – translate business vision and strategy into product roadmap, release plans, and manages product priorities set by the business throughout planning, refinement, review, and sprint cycles.
- Represent sponsors and business areas - understand and anticipate the business needs to manage the prioritisation more effectively, engage business owners and subject matter experts as appropriate, use deep market knowledge and communication skills.
- Act as primary liaison - be the main communicator and link between stakeholders and product teams, ensuring stakeholder buy-in on all major decisions and product strategy, while providing clear instructions and deliverables for product teams
- Reduce Technical Debt - accountable for addressing technical debt reduction in all priority considerations and maintaining transparency on the state of the application.
- Evaluate product progress at each iteration - take accountability for each stage of the development process and the final product by inspecting and evaluating progress through each iteration.
- Present all product showcases throughout development - demonstrate functionality and act as the focal point for how challenges are being overcome
