Project Coordinator – Permanent – Perth CBD
Join Western Power's People Program Management Office as a Project Coordinator and play a key role in delivering initiatives that shape the experience, capability and success of our workforce.
In this permanent opportunity, you will work closely with project and program managers, business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to support the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of People-related projects and initiatives. With multiple concurrent projects underway, you will help drive effective planning, coordination and governance to ensure delivery outcomes are achieved safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Your Role in Action
- Coordinate and support the successful delivery of a diverse portfolio of People projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time, within budget and to a high standard
- Partner with project and program managers to support project planning, scoping, budgeting, resourcing and approvals in line with Western Power's project governance framework
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the business, understanding their needs and providing responsive, customer-focused support
- Prepare high-quality project documentation, reporting and insights, including status updates, KPIs, monthly and quarterly reports that enable informed decision-making
- Monitor project performance across schedule, cost, quality and risk, providing analysis and recommendations to support successful delivery outcomes
- Coordinate and track service provider performance, ensuring key milestones and contractual commitments are achieved
- Maintain accurate project data within project management systems and provide oversight to support effective governance and reporting
- Drive continuous improvement by enhancing project administration processes, tools and methodologies, helping to improve project delivery efficiency and effectiveness
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Proven experience supporting the successful delivery of projects or programs within a complex organisation, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage, influence and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Experience working in a Project Management Office, project coordination or project delivery environment, supporting multiple concurrent initiatives
- A proactive and self-motivated approach, with the ability to work autonomously, exercise sound judgement and identify opportunities to add value
- Well-developed stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building trusted relationships and achieving positive outcomes through collaboration
- Strong proficiency across Microsoft Office applications and project management systems, with the confidence to leverage technology and data to support effective project deliver
