Project Manager – Perth CBD / South Metro Depot – 6 Month Contract
The role will be responsible for the delivery of high quality end to end project management services for a complex portfolio of concurrent works projects for both internal and external customers.
Accountable for successful project delivery, from commencement to project completion, through the Initiating, Planning, Execution, Monitoring, Control and Closing phases. Projects are to be delivered to agreed criteria, with commercially competitive standards for safety, cost, timeliness, quality, and scope and customer satisfaction.
Your Role in Action
- Analyse, strategically plan, implement and manage the contracts necessary for completion of the various project component works.
- Contributes to and reviews the project proposal or plan to determine timeframe, resourcing implications, funding limitations and operating procedures for accomplishing the project, staffing requirements, and allotment of available resources to various phases of the project.
- Accurately identify stakeholders’ needs, respond with empathy and demonstrate the effective interpersonal skills and integrity.
- Administer and manage the budgeting, estimation, scoping and resourcing of projects through the approvals process.
- Development of accurate and effective project programs.
- Effective commercial management of multiple contractors.
- May coordinate and support a small project team, identifying development needs, building cohesion, commitment and morale.
- Provides interface and maintains relationships with other contributors to the project
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Industry accreditation in Project Management, either PMBOK®, Prince2™ or MSP™. Or relevant discipline
- Significant project management experience including high value / highly complex projects
- Knowledge about theoretical concepts and principles of Project Management e.g. Price, PMBOK etc
- Demonstrated extensive and broad experience in project management, program planning, data management, integration and communication in relevant industries is essential.
- Electrical engineering knowledge of HV/LV construction, maintenance and commissioning practices.
- Strong experience in negotiation, conflict resolution and managing public and stakeholder relations.
- IT literacy; MS Office, MS Project, EPWM
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
