Senior SCADA and Telecommunications Asset Strategy Engineer – Perth CBD Office – Permanent Full Time

 

We’re on the lookout for a Senior SCADA and Telecommunications Asset Strategy Engineer to join our innovative Asset Performance team.

Your Role in Action  

 

Working within the SCADA and Telecommunications team, the senior engineer is integral to supporting Western Power’s SCADA and Telecommunications systems.

In this role, you will leverage on your extensive SCADA and/or Telecommunications knowledge and experience to deliver optimal life cycle asset management. The preferred candidate will have proven business case and report writing skills to support the development and application of:

 

  • Define and document best practice asset management standards through applying subject matter engineering expertise
  • Assess and manage asset risks and regulatory obligations
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in the management of asset(s)
  • Prepare and justify asset strategies and contribute to the development of asset management plans
  • Prepare and justify prudent and efficient work plans and complex business cases for capital expenditure and operations and maintenance expenditure
  • In the role of sponsor, collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve asset and works program performance objectives.

 

 What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Degree in Engineering
  • Eligible for Professional Engineer membership (MIEAust) with Engineers Australia
  • Eligible for Certified Associate in Asset Management (CAAM) with the Asset Management Council.
  • At least 10+ years extensive and broad engineering experience
  • Extensive specialist asset class knowledge
  • Advanced financial analysis skills
  • Change management and stakeholder management and engagement skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
