Senior Asset Strategy Engineer – Perth Office – Permanent Full Time
Western Power is seeking a Senior Asset Strategy Engineer to join our Asset Performance team. This permanent, full-time role is responsible for developing and applying best practice asset management strategies to ensure optimal life cycle performance for Protection, Secondary, and DC Systems assets on the Transmission network. Key responsibilities include the development of maintenance standards, conducting condition and life cycle assessments, and implementing risk mitigation strategies.

Your Role in Action
- Define and document best practice asset management standards through applying subject matter engineering expertise.
- Prepare and monitor Transmission asset performance and data analytics for your in-service assets.
- Manage asset risks through risk assessment and asset life cycle assessment in the context of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM).
- Prepare and justify asset strategies and contribute to the development of asset management plans.
- Drive continuous improvement and critical thinking in a tightknit team managing the assets.
- As asset custodian, respond to internal and external stakeholders around the in-service life of your assets.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Degree in Engineering
- Eligible for Professional Engineer membership (MIEAust) with Engineers Australia
- Eligible for Certified Associate in Asset Management (CAAM) with the Asset Management Council.
- At least 10+ years extensive and broad engineering experience
- Extensive specialist asset class knowledge
- Advanced financial analysis skills
- Able to work independently and results oriented
- Change management and stakeholder management and engagement skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
