Senior Business Continuity Specialist - 2 year Maximum Term/Perth Head Office

 

We’re on the lookout for a Senior Business Continuity Specialist for a 2-year fixed term opportunity to be the driving force behind how we prepare for—and power through—the unexpected. You'll work at the frontline of strategy and stability, partnering with leaders to build bold, future-ready plans across crisis, emergency, and business continuity. Your Role in Action  

 

  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, guiding strategic decisions that strengthen our resilience
  • Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide resilience frameworks
  • Provide high-level insights that shape the future of risk and resilience across the organisation
  • Drive key projects, embedding resilience thinking into cross-functional initiatives
  • Partner with the Enterprise Risk & Resilience Manager to deliver impactful, future-focused initiatives
  • Identify potential disruptions early and develop smart strategies to manage and mitigate risks
  • Monitor, measure, and report on resilience performance to inform continuous improvement
  • Build strong connections with stakeholders to uplift Western Power’s readiness and response capability

 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • Solid understanding of business continuity frameworks, with hands-on involvement in their development and implementation
  • Proficient in conducting Business Impact Assessments to inform resilience strategies
  • Proven ability to provide strategic advice and guidance to senior leadership on resilience-related matters
  • Strong background in strategic planning, project delivery, and leading change initiatives
  • Skilled in designing and delivering engaging resilience education and awareness programs
  • Confidence in analysing data, producing meaningful reports, and driving practical solutions
  • Competent in performing risk assessments across complex organisational environments
  • A tertiary qualification in Commerce, Law, Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field
