Senior Change Manager
Perth Office - CBD, WA, AU, 6000
Senior Change Manager | 12 Month Fixed Term | Perth City
This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Change Manager on a 12-month Fixed Term opportunity on a Full-Time Basis at our Perth CBD Office.
Western Power’s People Business Unit is building out its Portfolio Management Office — the function that brings governance, visibility and delivery discipline to the work that shapes our people experience, capability, safety and strategy.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Change Manager to lead pragmatic, scalable change across a diverse portfolio of People initiatives. You’ll flex your approach to suit both large, complex programs and smaller, fast-paced pieces of work — and where it helps, pick up light-touch project management to get initiatives across the line. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys variety, works across several projects at once, and takes a practical, outcomes-focused approach.
Your role in Action
- Lead end-to-end change across multiple concurrent People PMO projects, applying a flexible, scalable approach tailored to each project’s size, risk and impact
- Partner with Project Managers to integrate change, communications, training and engagement into delivery
- Develop key change artefacts — stakeholder impact assessments, change plans, communication and training approaches, and adoption measures
- Engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, from Executive sponsors to frontline teams, and manage change risks, resistance and interdependencies across the portfolio
- Support transition of outcomes into business-as-usual, maximising adoption and benefits realisation
- Where required, take ownership of smaller initiatives or workstreams, applying project management discipline to support delivery.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Experience in People, HR, training, safety or organisational change projects; experience partnering with Project Managers in structured project or PMO environments; and exposure to formal change methodologies (e.g. Prosci, ADKAR)
- Proven ability to manage change across multiple projects at once, balancing competing priorities
- Demonstrated use of flexible, fit-for-purpose change approaches rather than one-size-fits-all
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, adapting messaging across audiences
- Practical experience delivering both change management and elements of project management for smaller initiatives.
Desirable
- Professional qualifications in Change Management (e.g. PROSCI accreditation) or other relevant qualification (e.g. Strategic Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, etc)
- Experience working in an energy utility or other utility environment is an advantage.
