Senior Cyber Security Engineer

We're expanding our Cyber Security team and are looking for experienced Senior Cyber Engineer to help strengthen and evolve our enterprise security capabilities. In these roles, you'll play a critical part in designing, implementing and optimising cyber security controls across areas including Identity and Access Management, Data Loss Prevention, Network Security, Email Security and Cloud Security. Working closely with technology teams and stakeholders, you'll help deliver resilient, secure technology outcomes while driving continuous improvement across our cyber security environment.
Your Role in Action
- Strengthen and safeguard our cyber security environment by managing critical technologies across Identity & Access Management (IAM), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), Network Security, and Cloud Security.
- Design, implement, and optimise security controls that protect our systems, data, and digital assets from evolving cyber threats.
- Monitor, maintain, and enhance enterprise security platforms to ensure they remain resilient, effective, and aligned with industry best practice.
- Contribute to the delivery of strategic cyber security projects, supporting the deployment of new technologies and the continuous uplift of our security capability.
- Investigate security incidents, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks, driving effective remediation and strengthening organisational resilience.
- Partner with infrastructure, cloud, network, application, and project teams to embed security-by-design principles and deliver secure technology outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, process optimisation, and the enhancement of cyber security controls, engineering practices, and operational effectiveness.
- Support governance, audit, and compliance activities, ensuring security controls, documentation, and processes meet regulatory requirements and organisational standards.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Experience working across cyber security, infrastructure, networking, cloud technologies, or related technology environments, with a passion for protecting and enhancing digital capabilities.
- Hands-on experience supporting enterprise security solutions, including Identity & Access Management, Network Security, Email Security, Data Protection, and/or Cloud Security technologies.
- Strong understanding of cyber security principles, risk management practices, security controls, and industry standards and frameworks.
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and deliver effective solutions in complex environments.
- Ability to automate, streamline, and improve processes using scripting or automation tools such as PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear, practical advice for both technical and non-technical audiences.
