What you will be doing:

 

As a Senior Distribution Network Designer, you will be focussing on the following:

 

  • To perform and/or check the estimation and highly complex technical tasks associated with design of Western Power or Customer facilities connected to the Distribution Network.
  • To undertake complex investigations and co-ordinate process improvement through demonstrated technical leadership.

The skills and experience you will have:

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • Must possess Advanced Diploma in a relevant electrical discipline
  • At least 9 + years’ post qualification extensive experience in distribution network related activities with a thorough knowledge of principles of the relevant discipline and a sound understanding of the methods and practices
  • Sound knowledge of Safety policies and procedures is essential.
  • General knowledge of project, contract and works management systems and tools is necessary.
  • A sound knowledge of Distribution Engineering standards, regulations, and procedures applicable to the Section and Stream is essential.
  • Proficiency in appropriate key computer systems & application, including: Ellipse, DQM, DOCS/DMS, DFIS, DFMS, and business/drafting software (MS Office - Word, Excel & or Access, and scheduling/work management software).
  • Sound communication, influencing and problem-solving skills
