Senior Emergency Intelligence, Insights and Assurance Analyst

We have a new and exciting opportunity for a Senior Emergency Intelligence, Insights and Assurance Analyst to join our team on a permanent full time basis.

 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced professional to support strategic decision-making and continuous improvement across both network and non-network emergencies. You’ll play a critical role in developing and delivering insightful, actionable intelligence and data-driven assurance activities across the emergency management lifecycle. You will also lead the development and implementation of performance reporting, lessons management and incident assurance processes, to further strengthen organisational resilience.

 

In emergencies, you will play a key role in supporting real-time situational awareness by managing and maintaining tools such as WebEOC, dashboards and reporting systems. This role will also require for you to be part of a rostered on-call arrangement, supporting emergency response activities at a strategic and, at times at an operational level.

 

Your Role in Action  

 

  • Lead the collection, analysis and interpretation of emergency data, including readiness activities, incident performance and improvement opportunities to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Manage post-incident reviews, lessons learned and performance tracking, ensuring findings are embedded into a structured lessons management system aligned with national guidelines/best practices.
  • Develop and maintain emergency intelligence dashboards and situational awareness tools (e.g. WebEOC) to enhance operational coordination and real-time visibility.
  • Deliver timely operational and executive reporting before, during and after emergency events, including briefings and assurance documentation for senior leaders and governance groups.
  • Monitor and Identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities using predictive and historical analysis to strengthen preparedness and readiness activities.
  • Support the development and monitoring of emergency management KPIs and performance metrics aligned to regulatory, business and assurance requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, essential services and government agencies to share intelligence, coordinate response and align emergency planning practices.
  • Lead assurance activities and drive continuous improvement by monitoring implementation of actions arising from reviews, audits and debriefs. Develop threat assessments and risk profiles to support operational planning and strategic decision making.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff on emergency data platforms, reporting tools, and lessons processes.

 

What Makes You a Great Fit 

 

  • A seasoned professional with extensive range of knowledge and expertise gained through at least 8 to 10 years in Business Improvement or Analyst positions.
  • Proven technical subject matter expertise and team coordination skills when managing complex initiatives and projects.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship skills and the ability to operate and communicate at all levels of the organisation including C Suite and Operational Staff.
  • Strategic perspective, strong analytical and business acumen capability.
  • Ability to think conceptually, problem solve and ability to apply business context when generating solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate and balance multiple projects in a time-sensitive environment, under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
  • Sound knowledge of cost management techniques for forecasting, monitoring, and controlling costs together with clear communication skills in financial performance reporting to Senior Leadership including Executives.
  • Proven experience in and knowledge of leading process improvement initiatives and delivering tangible benefits through process improvement.
  • Proven experience in designing and delivering training programs and assessment methods.
  • Conceptual and practical understanding of best practice change management strategies, methodologies and techniques and their application.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma training or Lean Six Sigma models
