Location:

Perth Office - CBD, WA, AU

We’re on the lookout for a experienced Senior Category & Contract Specialist for a permanent opportunity to lead high-value and strategic ICT category work across our Technology Portfolio.

The Energy Transition is driving more change in our sector than almost anywhere else and technology is right at the heart of it. Your role will be at the forefront of designing commercial strategies that drive value across our ICT supply chain that support decarbonisation and reliability of the electricity network, while keeping the community at the centre of everything we do.

Your Role in Action

  • Take the lead in driving strategic category management across ICT categories, particularly in the managed services, project services and hardware categories.
  • Provide tailored business partnering that balances stakeholder needs against market capability through your continuous market engagements.
  • Build strong, trusted supplier relationships, backed by sharp negotiation skills and a focus on ongoing performance and partnership.
  • Design and deliver innovative category strategies that not only reduce risk and cost but also elevate service quality across key categories.
  • Champion best practice in procurement—applying robust contract management frameworks and setting the standard for supplier governance.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • A background in procurement, contracts, or commercial strategy - whether through a degree or proven hands-on experience.
  • A track record of shaping and delivering category and contract strategies on large-scale, high-impact projects.
  • Sharp negotiation skills and the confidence to manage complex, high-value deals.
  • A natural relationship builder who gets real value from suppliers—not just what's written in the contract.
  • Strong commercial instincts, with a solid grasp of risk, compliance, and financial frameworks in complex environments.
