We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior ICT Asset & Licensing Specialist at our Perth CBD Office on a Full-Time permanent basis.


About this role

 

As the Senior ICT Asset & Licensing Specialist will be responsible for ICT Asset Management, consulting and managing the lifecycle of all hardware and software assets, guiding licensing compliance and cost optimisation. The role is instrumental in assisting to mitigate legal and financial risks by ensuring compliance with software/hardware asset management, thereby reducing the potential for penalties and liabilities associated with non-compliance.

 

  • Consult on and manage ICT Asset Inventory Management, Asset Lifecycle Management & Software Licence Compliance.
  • Manage the development and implementation of processes for tracking license usage and maintaining software compliance across various products and license models. This includes providing Subject Matter Expert (SME) advice and guidance on establishing a knowledge base of all license models and costs for all supported software.
  • Be instrumental in ensuring the production of periodic asset management reports for management, highlighting key insights and recommendations.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders (in particular, Commercial, Finance and T&I) to gain a deep understanding of Western Power’s business and create the opportunities to exert appropriate influence around Asset Management.
  • Manage the accurate recording of IT Asset data and costs.
  • Provide specialised SME knowledge in software license management to streamline procurement, reducing overall license expenditure and promoting budget savings.
  • Management and SME of the overall IT Asset Management framework including all documentation.
  • Facilitate relevant business stakeholder forums to improve license compliance posture and engage commercial and finance stakeholders to achieve the desired outcomes.
  • Oversee and consult on internal software audits to ensure compliance with supplier license usage terms and provide SME advice on external software license compliance audits.

 

About you

 

We are seeking someone with experience and attributes that include:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Law, IT, or related discipline; equivalent experience acceptable
  • Seasoned professional with broad and extensive knowledge, expertise and understanding of information technology and industry trends.
  • Strong influencing, negotiating and facilitating expertise with business, technical and external stakeholders to resolve competing priorities, optimise Asset Management & Licensing and cost negotiations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal and written communication skills
  • Expert subject matter knowledge and expertise Asset Management
  • Demonstrated experience providing asset management services to demanding internal customers.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience in driving efficiency / value for money
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively adapt to and apply rapidly changing technology to business needs.
